Exploring the natural landscape is what Pamela Claflin is all about.  Her deep love for wildlife, refuge areas, state and national parks and their habitats are what makes her paint. She hopes that her true scenes of nature will give hope to the preservation of it  She has participated in art events in Idaho, California, Washington, Utah and Oregon. She gives credit to Delbert Gish, who worked with Russian Master, Sergei Bongart, for instilling the knowledge and techniques that she uses today.  Further training by other master painters are many.

Pamela currently lives in Prineville where she can continue to paint the state she loves.

“I strive to capture the wholeness of an area using brush and palette knife…and crunched paper towels, dried stems of plants old credit cards and rags…whatever it takes to achieve the believability of a painting.”

Allan Twombly, a local resident, has worked in residential carpentry for 35+ years and he has found that he enjoys the detailing and finer aspects of finish carpentry the most.  Finish carpentry led him to building custom cabinetry, wall units, mantles and other architectural millwork which he still enjoys doing today.

The art of building wood boxes, furniture (indoor and outdoor) and other custom pieces started out as a hobby and has become a more dedicated focus in his career.  He particularly likes finding highly figured wood and using it when the right project comes to mind.  Seeing pieces of wood (the blank canvas and creating a finished product is very thought provoking and satisfying.

Dee Rommel is a native Oregonian whose ancestors came here in the 1800’s in covered wagons.  She has been a citizen of Tigard for over 50 years. Love of  Oregon and the Northwest leads her to strive to express the scenic wonders that thrill her, from mountains, and lakes to waterfalls and roaring rivers, ocean and beach scenes.  She hopes that people will feel the love and the gratitude that she feels as she attempts to capture it in her work .  She enjoys working in different media, mostly watercolor, acrylic, oil and mixed media.  She loves close in scenes, flowers as they grow, people and experiments with impressionism and some abstract.
