On Friday, October 11 at 7:30 pm, Portland Youth Philharmonic’s chamber orchestra Camerata PYP welcomes special guests Venezuelan-Spanish composer, conductor, and trumpet player Giancarlo Castro D’Addona and Inés Voglar Belgique, Oregon Symphony Assistant Principal Second Violin and conductor of PYP’s Young String Ensemble, for an intimate performance at Tigard’s Calvin Presbyterian Church.
Conductor David Hattner and PYP invite audiences to experience an adventurous program of contemporary chamber music featuring Castro D’Addona’s recently premiered Concierto Sureño for Violin and String Orchestra, and more. Camerata PYP premiered Castro D’Addona’s piece in May 2019 at the Walters Cultural Arts Center in Hillsboro, OR.
The performance is free to attend and all are welcome. A free-will offering will be taken.
