The Foundation for Tigard Tualatin Schools is holding their second annual “Taste of Tigard Tualatin” on Saturday, September 21 from 1pm-8pm. Hosted by G-Man Brewery in Tualatin, and presented by AT&T, the event is a community celebration of local food, drink and music that will raise funds to help bring more learning to TTSD students.

“We wanted to produce a new event that brings together community members in a fun and relaxed atmosphere,” said FTTS Board President Pamela Leavitt. “Summer is busy for everyone, so we felt like people would be ready to gather and celebrate after school starts. We had a great turnout our first year, and we are excited that G-Man is hosting us for our second outing!”

Tickets are on sale at the-ftts.org/taste. Pre-sale tickets are available for $25 ($30 at the door) and include 10 tasting tickets, and a souvenir glass. Food and additional tastes are available for purchase at the event. A minor-friendly zone will contain food carts and activities offered by sponsors including Club K After School Zone, Mathnasium of Lake Oswego, Sherwood and South Beaverton, Kumon of South Beaverton, and Suzie’s Organics.

The event’s tasting lineup is firming up, with commitments by G-Man, Hop Valley, Kona Brewing, West Coast Grocery, Widmer, Stoller, Square Mile Cider, and Love Bites. Vendors are continuing to come in, and event updates can be found at the-ftts.org/taste.

Executive Director Margie Greene shares, “The Foundation is fully donor-supported, and events such as the Taste of Tigard Tualatin bring in more than half of the annual funds which are distributed to the 15 main Tigard-Tualatin Schools. There is so much opportunity to help our kids succeed, and it’s rewarding to know that our community is always fully behind us in our efforts.”
