Veterans are needed for a study to help improve how Alzheimer’s disease is detected and diagnosed in Veterans. Participation requirements will be explained in Oregon Health Science University Professor Dr. Lisa Silbert’s presentation, “Diagnosing Alzheimer’s Disease in Veterans,” at the Tualatin Marquis Community Center meeting room, 19805 SW Boones Ferry Rd, at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24.
Dr. Silbert is Director of the Neuroimaging Core at the Oregon Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease Center and also Director of the Portland VA Dementia Clinic. She has 20 years of experience in her field.
She will also provide information on other related medical projects and offer contact information for those interested in participating.
This is a Department of Defense Project, utilizing OHSU facilities and staff in coordination with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
