Tigard High School opened its 2021 prep football season on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, with a three-team jamboree at Tigard High School featuring the Tigers, Clackamas and Glencoe high schools. Each team got 18 offensive and 18 defensive plays against each of the other teams.

Tigard and Clackamas opened by playing to a scoreless tie. This was followed by Clackamas against Glencoe. In that matchup, Clackamas scored twice on a pair of long touchdown passes, while holding Glencoe scoreless. The final matchup saw Tigard and Glencoe score one touchdown each.

There was no time kept, no PAT conversions and no kickoffs or punts. Each team started with possession at their own 25 yard line. If they were unable to convert a first down, they were made to start over at their own 25. This was done until each team’s 18 offensive plays were completed.
Tigard begins its regular season with a home game against Sunset High School at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3.
