Cooper Mountain Ale Works is getting into the “Season of Giving” this month with a holiday toy and clothing drive to support local organizations and raffling a sack full of prizes as a thank-you to donors.

The brew pub is collecting coats for Family Promise of the Tualatin Valley, a non-profit that assists people facing houselessness, and toys and stocking stuffers for With Love Oregon, which helps support kids living in foster care across the state.

Instead of just collecting items, Cooper Mountain Ale Works is raffling a block of five tickets to Broadway Rose’s holiday musical, Home for the Holidays, plus Cooper Mountain Ale Works merchandise and gift certificates.

“We’re doing this to kick off the spirit of the winter holidays and drive awareness and support for some really great local non-profits,” said Cooper Mountain founder Christie Sjolin. “This year we’re determined to do something a little more lively than just put out posters and a collection box.”

Cooper Mountain Ale Works is collecting toys, stocking stuffers, and new or gently winter coats in all sizes “tiny kiddo to 3XL” beginning November 1, at its Tigard and Sherwood locations. Bring items to either location in exchange for a raffle ticket. Prizes will be raffled on Dec. 8., With Love’s collection deadline.

“Since we’re holding the raffle early in the month, the prizes could be re-gifted, if the winners want to keep the spirit of giving going,” she said.

Bring donations to Cooper Mountain Ale Works, 12562 SW Main St., Tigard.
