Turn Your Tree into a Gift for the Community

Join Tigard’s Scouts in a sustainable effort to transform holiday greenery into rich compost for our local trails. Troop 423 (formerly Troops 423 & 218) is proud to serve the Tigard community and offer holiday tree pickup and drop-off services after Christmas. Together, let’s keep trees out of landfills, beautify our local parks, and support fun, Scout-led programs!

When the holiday season ends, don’t let your tree go to waste! With the generous support of Evergreen Tree Services, all trees and greenery will be chipped and spread on Cook Park’s trails, helping to support a healthy, vibrant park ecosystem.

Look out for bright blue door hangers as Scouts go door to door in early December to spread the word! Sign up online and schedule a pickup at: bsatroop423and218.org/tree-recycling.

Pickup Service

For a suggested donation of $15, we’ll come to you! Schedule a pickup to have your non-flocked tree collected right from your driveway on December 29th, January 4th, 5th, 11th, or 12th.

Drop-off

Perhaps you’d prefer to drop off your tree or greenery? Bring it to Cook Park (17005 Southwest 92nd Avenue, Tigard) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on any of the collection days.

Why Support Scouts?

Our program builds character and fosters a love for the outdoors through Scout-led activities that teach resilience, teamwork, and a commitment to service. Every donation helps make a difference!

Thank you for supporting our Scouts and contributing to a cleaner, greener Tigard!
