Summer Reading is in full swing at the Tigard Public Library! Your whole family can read through August 31 to earn books or the chance to win great prizes. Visit the Library Monday through Thursday, 10 am-8 pm, and Friday through Sunday, 10 am-6 pm, to sign up. The Library will be closed Monday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth and Tuesday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. There will be no Storytime on Wednesday, July 5. Black Panther Movie Marathon

Drop-in to a library double-feature. Munch on snacks while enjoying two films set in the Kingdom of Wakanda.

Oregon Voices Exhibit 

July 5 – August 27 
Library Courtyard | Adults & Teens

View this pop-up exhibit from the Oregon Historical Society in the library courtyard. Visitors will learn about the evolution and expansion of Oregon industries, social justice movements, migration and immigration, environment and energy, and Indigenous nations in Oregon from WWII to present day.

Eric Herman at Pop Up in the Park!

Summerlake Park | Kids & Families

Parks & Rec and the Library come together to bring you an outrageously fun musical performance in the park with Eric Herman! Eric’s music will have you smiling from ear to ear, dancing from limb to limb, and laughing from funny bone to funny bone. Games and crafts begin at 1pm, music starts at 2pm!  Program presented in partnership with Tigard Parks & Recreation and the Ready to Read grant.

A Midsummer Celtic Celebration with Andrea Wild & Company

Enjoy Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and Cornwall through the music that has inspired generations. Hear tall tales, legends, Welsh songs in the Welsh language, Irish bagpipes, fiddle tunes, tin whistle, and Irish bouzouki. Andrea Wild will be joined by multi-instrumentalists Preston Wilde and Bob Soper. Stay after the program for Q&A.  Program presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.
