Patricia Marie Hermanson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, in Tigard, Oregon, at the age of 92. Born in Medford, Oregon, Patricia’s life was marked by dedication to family, education, and community.
She married Robert Conway Hermanson on March 28, 1953, in Portland, Oregon. They shared 38 years of marriage until Robert’s passing in 1991.
Patricia was a proud graduate of Portland’s Jefferson High School and later earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honors in English from Portland State University in 2002, a testament to her lifelong love of learning.
She enjoyed a rewarding career with US Bank and Oregon Public Broadcasting. In retirement, Patricia generously volunteered in the English Department at Tigard High School, inspiring young minds with her passion for literature.
A resident of Tigard for 60 years, Patricia was known for her vibrant sense of humor and an undying passion for the actor George Clooney, Patricia was an avid reader and also enjoyed crafts, including knitting and painting. Her beloved dog George and cat PK were constant companions.
Patricia is survived by her four children, all Tigard High School graduates, Brad, Rick, Todd, and Lynn (White); three grandchildren, Eric and Kyle White, and Ian Hermanson; as well as many friends who will cherish her memory.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Oregon Humane Society, honoring Patricia’s lifelong love of animals.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
A private service will be held.
