Since 2007, the show has raised $262,271 for music, literature, visual and performing arts in the Tigard-Tualatin-School District. The non-profit program raises funds through a 20% commission on all sales during the 2-day arts event. Event proceeds benefit programs in all schools (elementary, middle and high school). Grants are awarded to each school to use exclusively for Arts programs, including music, visual and performing art and writing.
“I want to give kids the love of music. I’m very thankful to Art In The Burbs for the years of support,” Angie Mullins, music teacher at Mary Woodward Elementary.
“What I love about the foundation is they are so transparent where the money is going,” Ceramics Artist and parent of 3, Carolyn Bulkley. “I can log on to the website and see exactly how the money was spent.”
