Now is a great time to get your lawn off to an early start by applying a late winter / early spring fertilization and moss control.
For best results, give the lawn a good raking prior to mowing it for the first time. This will remove any leaves and debris that accumulated over the winter months.
The amount of moss your lawn contains depends on how much shade is present in those areas. In some cases the lawn will require additional moss treatments in heavily shaded areas. These areas may require the removal of moss followed by reseeding.
Lawn aeration is recommended for lawn that were not aerated last year. This is also a good time to overseed bare spots and thin areas of the lawn following the aeration.
