A Tualatin man, Jhonatan Temprana-Olivares, 29, was arrested Monday on charges of sex abuse and harassment after allegedly accosting three women on the trail near the volleyball court at Cook Family Park.
Police said all three incidents occurred on Monday, Aug. 12.

The first woman reported being approached by a man while running on the trail around 7:30 a.m. The man allegedly came up behind her and was pushed away when he made unwanted advances.

A second woman reported a similar incident around 12:30 p.m., stating a man grabbed her buttocks before fleeing into the woods. Responding officers located Temprana-Olivares in the wooded area near the trail and arrested him.

On Tuesday, a third woman came forward, claiming a man matching Temprana-Olivares’ description approached her while walking her dog on the same trail around 8:30 a.m. The man allegedly petted her dog, followed her, and made inappropriate comments before she yelled and left the area.

Due to the potential for additional victims, investigators are releasing Temprana-Olivares’ booking photo. Anyone who had a similar encounter with him is urged to contact the Tigard Police Department’s non-emergency dispatch at 503-629-0111 or email tips@tigard-or.gov.
