Get ready for an exciting summertime concert with musician Nathalia Palis! Nathalia has released five albums of original bilingual content co-produced and performed by notable Grammy Award winners. Songs from the Heart: A Concert of Native Flutes

Native American flutist Peter Ali comes to the Tigard Public Library to share the wide-ranging sounds of the wooden flute, spotlighting instruments from the Middle East, Scandinavia, as well as many Native American nations. Presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.

Jessa Campbell and the Saplings

Teen Outdoor Movie Night

Library Backyard | Teens entering grades 6-12

Bring a blanket and park yourself in front of the big screen on a starry night. Activities start at 8 PM, and the movie (featuring Ryan Reynolds as a video game NPC who learns he is not real, but still chooses to fight for his life) begins at dusk. Enjoy lawn games and bingo before the film! Registration on the library’s website encouraged, drop-ins are welcome! 

Author Talk: Lighter Than Air: West Coast Aviators and the Dawn of Flight

Join historian Richard Goodrich to hear about the turn of the 20th century dirigible pioneers of the West Coast, whose adventures he has chronicled in his latest book L.A. Birdmen: West Coast Aviators and the First Airshow in America. These folks were taking to the sky when Boeing was still a timber outfit. Presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.

Library Birthday Party!

Join us for an evening of cake and fun to celebrate the library building’s 20th birthday. Cake will be served at 5:30 PM, followed by an outdoor musical performance at 6 PM by local favorites Chicamarimba. Presented in partnership with Friends of the Tigard Library.
