Enjoy live music from 7 to 9 pm every Friday at Beach Hut Deli and listen to the likes of powerhouses such as Trent Beaver, Brady Goss, Lisa Mann, Sonny Hess, Nikki Jones, Brandon Logan, Robbie Laws and Kevin Coloso who’ve showcased their talents.
“Florian suggested we continue music at the deli after last year’s Tigard Music Fest, and it’s been such a success,” said John Goodhouse, who owns Beach Hut Deli with his son, Austin Goodhouse. “It’s great to meet and talk to people who come in to listen to an artist and have the opportunity to introduce them to what we offer at Beach Hut Deli.”
Goodhouse refers to Florian Raqueño, founder and CEO of Florian Raqueño Productions. Goodhouse and Raqueño present the Tigard Music Fest, this year happening July 14-16, once again in downtown. Raqueño said it’s important to develop and maintain integral relationships with performers, and to work with true professionals in the industry.
“We feel fortunate to have the level of talent who’s performed and scheduled to perform at The Hut. A majority of these musicians and bands have experience playing at large venues concerts, fairs, and/or festivals. To hear them say they enjoy playing at Beach Hut truly reflects the extent they love their craft and what they do,” Raqueño said.
Such as Sonny Hess. Hess, the first woman nominated in a male-dominated field for Best Lead Guitar and for the “Lifetime Achievement Award” by the Cascade Blues Association recently performed at Beach Hut with two-time Blues Music Award winning artist Lisa Mann.
“I love playing in this little place. Food is great, staff is nice and we’ve developed a following here,” said Hess, who is scheduled to return to perform in the Fall.
Beach Hut Deli is a family-friendly local gathering place that serves gourmet sandwiches and salads, soups and other delicious items. Beer options, Willamette Valley Vineyards wines, cocktails are also on the menu. Happy Hour is from 3 pm to 6 pm Monday through Friday.
