Fall is here and its once again time to celebrate that most delicious of fruit, the Apple! The Tigard Historical Association is again hosting its annual Apple Harvest Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 1 to 4 pm at the 1880 John Tigard House, located on the corner of 103rd and Canterbury Lane in Tigard.
Tour this wonderful Carpenter Gothic home furnished in turn of the century style. Learn about the history of Tigard’s founding. The popular antique apple press and apple peeler of yesteryear will be available for the children to make cider and peel apples. Have your photo taken in period costume in our old-time photo studio. Fun old fashioned games and toys will be on hand.
Delicious apple pie from Davidson’s Restaurant will be served with whipped cream and is available at the old fashioned price of 50 cents a slice. Please come and join us! Admission is free, with donations to the Historical Association cheerfully accepted.
