The past year has reminded us of the need to be prepared. Disasters come in all types from slowly evolving pandemics to earthquakes striking with only a few second’s notice. In between are wildfires, ice storms and power outages to name a few disasters that could – and do – affect our region.

How prepared is your family for the next disaster?

Join members of Tigard’s Community Emergency Response Team as they share ideas on how to prepare your family for whatever comes next. The free 90-minute webinar will cover a variety of topics from what items to collect for your emergency kit to making plans to reunify and communicate with your family.

A key theme of the webinar is the need to be flexible, as no two disasters are alike. How you respond may depend on time of day, whether you are at home or elsewhere, and whether you need to hunker down (like for a pandemic) or bug out (a wildfire).

The event will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. To register for the webinar, please go to bit.ly/tigardreadywebinar. You will receive a confirmation email that will include instructions on joining the webinar.
