Upcoming Programs at Tigard Library January 2026

Start your New Year off right with books, programs, and more from Tigard Public Library! The Library will be closed on Monday, January 19. 

Tigard Public Library services will shift to a temporary location at Tigard City Hall (13125 SW Hall Blvd. Tigard) beginning on Friday, February 6, while the library building is closed due to construction. The library building will temporarily close on Sunday, February 1. 

Express library services will be available at City Hall on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and phone service will be available seven days a week. The library building is planned to reopen by May 1. Find the latest library news at tigard-or.gov/library.

Teen Winter Reading 

January – February
Sign up at the Children’s Reference Desk January 3-31 | Teens in grades 6-12

Teens, drop by the library to pick out a free book and begin your #WinterReading celebration. With every book you consume, submit your page count to join a virtual team of other winter readers and enter a drawing for a $30 Powells gift card. Compete for the glory of accumulating the highest page count!

“Why does my bank send me a text before I can check my balance online?” WCCLS Digital Navigator Brian will tell you all about internet account security – including the importance of those pesky 6-digit codes – and demonstrate tools you can use to create extra protection for your online life.

Homemade Personal Care

Learn how to make your own personal care products from safe and easy-to-find ingredients! In this workshop you’ll watch a few demonstrations and get a recipe packet for exfoliating sugar scrub, lip balm, gentle face wash, and other common products you can make for yourself at home.
