The Tigard Downtown Alliance will present its annual ArtWeek Festival May 13-22, 2022 in beautiful downtown Tigard. The ArtWeek Festival is a multi-faceted community art festival that includes art displays, artist demonstrations, performances by local musicians and performers, refreshments, and children’s hands-on activities and showcases artists of all mediums, all experiences and renown.
While last year’s event celebrated a return to in person activities, this year’s event will expand on all of our programming in new and exciting ways. With multiple activities for attendees to interact with art and the people who make it, this weeklong event is growing and reaching expanded audiences. The ArtWeek Festival is an exciting opportunity for artists to share their passion for art and their creative endeavors. We truly cannot wait to showcase our community’s artists and artwork and look forward to seeing you at this year’s events.
Since 2014, the Tigard Downtown Alliance (TDA) has been committed to cultivating a diverse, thriving, inclusive downtown with opportunities to experience unique marketplaces and memorable activities for both residents and visitors.
Highlights of the 2022 ArtWeek Festival include:
2nd Annual Brush Off! Sunday May 15, 11am 2pm: Up to 10 Painters will complete a painting on the same subject matter in 3 hours. Event guests will vote for winners in different categories including the Brush Off Best. Paintings will be donated and for sale after the event for additional fundraising. Tickets on sale now!
Art Displays, Monday-Sunday May 16-22
$25 Sale. Monday-Sunday May 16-22 11am-6pm: The $25 sale features works by budding artists, local talent and artists of notable fame. All works are priced at $25 on a first-come first-served basis and are displayed anonymously. Purchased art remains in the gallery, still anonymous, until the end of the sale. When buyers pick up their new treasures, they discover the artist!
Wine Walk.Join us for the first Tigard Downtown Wine Walk presented by Amy and Reba’s Day Drinking Wine Tours. Taste some incredible regional wines and explore Main Street. Limited to 250 – get your tickets now!
Meet the Artist. Friday, May 20, 4–7 pm: Artists will be stationed in their partner business, meet the public and discuss their art.
Artist in Action. Saturday, May 21, 10am–3pm. Downtown Tigard business partners will host a featured artist in front of or near their business.
Pop-up Art Market. Sunday, May 22, 9am – 1:30pm. Artists sell their art at the farmers market style Pop-up Art Market.
