The Downtown Tigard Tree Lighting is here! Coordinated by the Tigard Downtown Alliance, the Downtown Tigard Tree Lighting is set for Friday, Dec. 2, at 6:15 p.m. The event kicks off with the annual tree lighting of the historic tree in Liberty Park with an after-party at Symposium Coffee, including pictures with Santa, crafts, letters to Santa, and more. Soli Deo Gloria, Westside Christian school’s national champion choir, will perform at Symposium during the after-party. This is a great way to kick off the holiday season and give the kids some Santa time.
Here’s a line-up of what’s happening:
- 6:15-7:00 p.m. – Crowds gather at Rite Aid Parking Lot to view the tree at Liberty park. Help Santa light the tree.
- 7:00 p.m. – Group procession, led by Santa, moves to Symposium Coffee on Main Street.
- 7:00 p.m. on – Enjoy Cookies and Hot Chocolate at Symposium. Take a picture with Santa, drop off or write a letter to Santa, do a holiday craft, and more!
Sherrie’s Jewelry Box is sponsoring Letters to Santa. You can drop off the letter to Santa or write one that night. We will personally deliver the letters to Santa. You can download the letter at exploredowntowntigard.com.
