The Third Annual Winter Coat Giveaway is returning to Tigard Community Friends Church on Friday and Saturday, November 4 and 5, from 10-7 pm each day.
Donations can be dropped off begining now at the church at 15800 SW Hall Blvd in Tigard. Donations will be accepted until the day of the event.
White plastic barrels are located outside the front doors, undercover. Please send only clean, warm clothing in good repair. Especially needed are winter coats, warm sweaters and sweatshirts, sweatpants, jeans, warm hats and gloves, warm socks, boots, and sleeping bags. The church collects for all ages.
The event offers clean, warm clothing to those in need. In prior years Tigard has given away thousands of pieces of clothing to people who need them. After the event, all clothing that remains will be passed on to other non-profit groups that provide clothing for free.
