Mask & Mirror will have matinee performances at 2:30 p.m. on both Saturdays and Sundays to accommodate parents and grandparents bringing children and grandchildren to this live musical theatre presentation. Evening performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. Limited seating encourages early ticket purchase online at www.MaskandMirror.com.
Director Rick Hoover has assembled a talented cast of local actors to portray Charlie Brown, Sally Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder and Snoopy in this charming revue of vignettes and songs. “The time of the action is an average day in the life of Charlie Brown,” says Rick. “It really is just that, a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening. Everything you know and love about the Peanuts gang will be on stage: Schroeder’s obsession with Beethoven, Lucy’s crabbiness, Linus and his ever-present blanket, Charlie Brown’s absolute positive outlook even when things go horribly wrong, Sally’s attitude and Snoopy WILL battle the Red Baron!”
“You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” is the ultimate family production for all ages. Everyone from small children to grandparents (and even great grandparents) will find all the joy, warmth and humor in this delightful musical. And don’t forget to stick around to get pictures with your favorite Peanuts characters!
